I have been so excited to share this one. Earlier this year I had the extreme honor of building a guitar for the legendary Dave Murray of @ironmaiden This was an absolute dream come true as Iron Maiden is my all time favorite band. Now that he has been playing it on tour I can share this “Beast” with you all (Including a screen grab of him playing his lead on the first ever live performance of ‘Alexander the Great’) Thank you, Dave, for entrusting me with this build. Finally the day has come that I can share what is my favorite guitar that I have ever built. This was a year in the making. A year of pouring my passion into a piece and collaborating with people who shared that passion. I have loved Godzilla since I was 5 years old. 10 years longer than o have loved the guitar. I could not have done this without the support of our Fender Japan team, our collaborators at Toho, and of course @iwilldestroytom Tom Neely who shares my love of the king of the monsters and created the most incredible piece of Godzilla artwork I have ever seen. Big thank you to Stan Corey from our R&D team for helping me get Godzillas voice into the guitar. Of course @sonicpickups for providing a pickup worthy of a project like this. I am still in disbelief that this is real. Presenting the Godzilla Master built strat in Japan, playing the Godzilla theme with the legendary @martyfriedman I just don’t know what to say except Skreeonk!

The dream that keeps coming true! Ever since first hearing them for the first time as a kid, Iron Maiden has been my absolute favorite band and Dave Murray has been my favorite guitar player. A few years ago it became the honor of my professional life to build a guitar for him and every time I see photos of him playing it on stage I get emotional. I put everything I had into building a guitar that he would like and could never have imagined it would become his Number 1. I was so happy to announce that I would have the opportunity to build a limited run of these guitars so people could get their hands on them. These are being made exactly as his is made. All of the mods that his incredible tech, Colin, asked for are als on these guitars. Someday I will make a post showing all the small details but right now I am happy to say that these guitars are starting to ship. They are a lot of work so they take some time but I promise it will be worth it! In the meantime start practicing your favorite Maiden solos and be sure to share them with me. I want to thank Colin for all of his great communications so we could get the original guitar dialed, to Johnnie and Billy for all their hard work to make this happen, and to Dave for trusting me with this honor. Up the Irons!
