Kia Ora✨️😇 Last week I had the honor of attending my first ever retreat, it was a cancer retreat run by Aratika Cancer Trust in Taupō. The time I spent there was so wonderful, meeting people at all different stages of our healing journeys was really inspiring and humbling. It was cool because the connection was instant because we all knew everyone had cancer haha and so you don't do any boring surface conversation, there is just this cool unspoken tender understanding of each other which makes way for genuine instant connection and seeing the other through eyes of love and humility🤩 It was like we were all in a new realm where we stepped out of time and could just rest and reset and learn and eat and nap and feel comfortable with where we are at in terms of what we needed to learn or address. The ladies who guided our time there also taught us a lot but what I will never forget is how they really held us through the whole experience and their beautiful feminine energy was so natural, nurturing and healing to be in tge presence of, just effortless ✨️ I was hardly on my phone so I just have this pic of a vision board I did for an art therapy exercise we did and the view of Mt. Tauhara that we did our movement practices in front of. It was so nice guys, I don't really have words to express how it all felt properly, but I do highly recommend and hope that all of us can experience a retreat like this.
