2024 Columbia River Source to Sea! Doing it big time on the Great western River. 1,250 miles from the heart of the Canadian Rocky’s to the dramatic coasts of the Pacific Northwest. Lots of highs and lows, muddy islands, dams (beaver and man made), rapids, lakes, friendly people, an international border, brutal headwinds, ocean liners, and a whole lotta fun.
A special thanks to
@meredith_phelps for dropping me off in Canada and being at the coast to pick me up. What an awesome girlfriend. Love you lots Babe!!!
Big shoutout to
@naishbrowns for listening to me ramble on the phone. He definitely helped me stay sane. Naish also portaged me around the bottom three dams on the Columbia and met me at the finish line.
@scott.kreiter is an absolute legend! He organized all of my portages around the Eastern Washington Dams! He also brought me an old fashion. What a guy! Thank you Scott!
@heidiblischke thanks for letting me use your boat mom. Sorry about the broken rudder and other wear and tear haha!
Finally I have
@immersionresearch to thank for hooking it up with a skirt and dry suit. I practically lived in that dry suit in Canada where I had many days of 40 degree weather and constant rain.
There are many more people to thank that helped me along the way. Although this was a solo journey I never felt too alone. There’s definitely a lot of good people out there still.
Till the next adventure. Cheers!
