Had an absolute blast running the Indy Monumental Marathon in 2:39 this morning! Really proud of the work that went into the last three months — and beyond grateful for my wife, whose support on course (and every day leading up to it) was the X-factor when things got tough. Big shoutout to the Life In Stride crew for pushing me to the finish, to Chase (not pictured) for an awesome debut, and to Taylor for the continued friendship and miles over the years.

I can remember when I first started running how I looked at the Boston Marathon as the holy grail of marathons and thought it would be nearly impossible to reach the start line. Yesterday, I made that dream come true. No matter how hard the entire 26.2 mile trip from Hopkinton to Boston was, I loved the journey to the finish. Those 2:51 seconds on the course were truly magical. Boston is challenging in every way. I’ll never forget the deafening Wellesley scream tunnel, the challenging newton hills, my quads being wrecked forcing me to walk some in the final few miles, and the continued crowd support at every mile of the course. I now understand even more why Boston is so loved. I’m forever grateful for the continued support of my wife, who has helped make this silly dream of mine a reality. My parents for always showing up for me no matter what. Lastly, Cory, for being my best friend who comes to Boston for support when he doesn’t even run. I can’t wait for my next chance to line up and toe the start line of the incredible Boston Marathon.

Indy Monumental 24: 2:46 (new PR) Had such an amazing time running the Indy Monumental Marathon yesterday. Overall, this was one of the most fun marathons I’ve had the pleasure of doing and finishing in a time that I honestly wasn’t sure was possible. I want to thank @taylor_orner @danmarr01 instagramless chase ballard and countless others from the Exchange for pushing me all summer to be the best I could be. I wouldn’t be here without your help and support. I want to thank my wife for putting up with my crazy running addiction and being patient as I spend countless hours running and training for races like this. Payton, you’re the real MVP. None of this is possible without your love and support. I want to thank my parents for their continued support and love by showing up at the start lines to cheer me on. Finally, thank you to @93dannyp and @dmumf93 for running basically every mile of the course with me, pushing me to this new PR. It’s amazing how running introduces you to new friends at the start lines as you achieve big goals together. Now for some time off as I get ready to prepare for the Boston Marathon in April.

Had an incredible time running the Carmel Marathon yesterday. Was fortunate enough to run a huge 30+ minute personal best finishing in 2:49 to submit my ticket for the Boston Marathon. Payton ran her first marathon in 4:14, a huge accomplishment for her and one I am so proud of her achieving. It has been a lot of work over the last 3-6 months to achieve this goal. I couldn’t have done it without the help and support of so many people, including Payton, The Exchange Program training group, and Piper and Hunter for coming to support on course! Grateful for this effort, and can’t wait for what’s next!

Last weekend I had the pleasure of celebrating Piper and Hunter becoming newlyweds! I also was able to run the Evansville Half Marathon last weekend with a huge personal best of 1:20, putting me 7th male and 8th overall!

Hours of training and hard work paid off. The marathon is extremely hard and crossing the finish line is an amazing feeling. Proud to have finished my first marathon in 3:28.
