Been enjoying looking back at some old work for @habitomortgages this morning and found these process images.I love the evolution of backgrounds during the design process - this one is basically me being incredibly annoying and adding tiny details everywhere in every mm of space. Over and over again… think I did it in every shot as well Sorry Ivan, Guy and Cristian!…

Earlier in the year we designed and animated this fun Skateboarding robo-chef for Telstra and Samsung over in Australia There's also some of the design process on this one including the original robo sketches and @kensausage additional work bringing him to life - especially love the little microwave oven in his chest As it was pretty low frame rate for the flip book it also felt like a good time to transition over to @toonboomanimation from Flash (RIP lover )Thanks to the +61 agency team for getting us onboard!

@nightmaresonwax ‘Echo45 Sound System’ Mixtape is out today and it’s a banger!We were lucky enough to get a preview over the summer and loved it. Reminded me of mixtapes we used to listen too on the way to school, start to finish over and over. Sounds incredible on good speakers too.Here’s the full clip we directed for the first single ‘Bang Bien’ feat. Yasiin Bey.Great to be a part of this one thanks George and team!

Style frames and reference for our recent @nightmaresonwax ‘Bang Bien’ video.Growing up in 80’s Leeds George was inspired by everything from Malcolm McLaren to breakdancing and cinema which gave us such an awesome and rich visual world to draw from.There’s a few of our main inspiration on the slides but there’s loads more in each frame, including some big Leeds spots and some Nightmares On Wax Easter Eggs.

Selection of warm up drawings from last week. I’ve l realised I quite like drawing straight in with a pen, no sketching as it makes things less fussy and can play with colour a bit faster and in a shorter space of time. It’s also great as @luciadavies is always on the look out for people in interesting clothes so they become the perfect images to warm up with.Can’t explain the brick walls. But they are very satisfying to draw.

Found this drawing whilst searching for some old files that we never posted. I think it started out as trying to re-work old characters (last slide) but shows a nice breakdown of a chaotic process and also my general breakdown every time I start a project like this. Projects come up and I just end up losing the files in hard drives and returning 2 years later I get so lost in the details. Kinda love it though. #illustration #characterconcept #processart
