“Bigger Houses” is officially the number 1 song in the country today! This one is special for a million different reasons, the song itself and meaning behind it (something I need to be reminded of daily), the fact that the title came from a conversation with @abbysmyers after @emilybalbert and I moved into our house a few years ago, and above all else I get to celebrate it with the guy I moved to town with 14 years ago to chase this very dream, @dansmyers . Through all the nights scheming in the tent (yes in our living room), fake emails from the Taco Bell president and fake papa John’s coupons designed by @ptracy so we could all eat, all the songs written and cold domestic cans consumed, it’s been a hell of a ride and I love you brother! @rkohli , so excited to finally get to celebrate one together man, it’s been a long time coming. @jordanminton and @jordankreynolds , I truly love writing songs with both of you and couldn’t be more proud this was our first one together. You guys are the best in the business. @shaymooney , you’re the greatest singer of all time, I can’t thank you enough for believing in this song and putting your magic on it. I love you man! One of my best friends and favorite collaborators put out an album today! I couldn’t be a bigger fan of @trannieanderson and couldn’t be prouder to be a part of her record. “Bigger Picture” is one of my absolute favorite songs I’ve ever written. Trannie walked with the idea that day and we all watched God do the rest. Please take a few minutes to check it out. And if you’re an artist that needs a career song, cut this dang thing 😂! I simply can’t believe I’m posting this, but this past Wednesday my baby brother Scott went to heaven. He was without question the kindest, most gentile, loving soul I’ve ever known. Everyone who had the chance to know him knew how truly special he was. He loved Phish, The Grateful Dead, being in nature, his family and nephews (he was their “Uncle Dot”), and most of all he loved his wonderful wife @averygraceeyo . I can’t begin to imagine what my life will be like without being able to call my brother and reminisce about old Nickelodeon shows, the endless concerts we attended as teenagers and kids, the days driving to High School and rowing practice together in our old gray ’98 4runner (which we both agreed was the greatest vehicle ever built), Christmases/family time, and all the years and memories in-between. Raising 2 boys of my own with roughly the same age gap has made me really appreciate how special it was to grow up alongside a brother like Scott, I was so damn lucky. I love him so so so much but unfortunately thats what makes this time so unbearably heartbreaking, but I’m taking comfort in knowing he’s up with Jesus right now in paradise, finally at peace. We will be holding a Celebration of Life ceremony for him in Roswell, GA 1-3pm on 12/29 (His birthday) at the Roswell River Landing (245 Azalea Drive Roswell, GA 30075) that is open to anyone who wants to come by I’ll love and miss you forever brother 🕊️

New one from @ryanandrory out now! I wrote this with the fellas, Kevin Bard and @trannieanderson this summer down in Florida on a retreat. Rory had just gone through a breakup and Ryan noticed that the only furniture left in his apartment was a lawn chair in the living room. We all thought it would make a unique title and a great take on a love song. Kevin produced the heck out of it. Y’all check it out!
