Public Disco returns to @granville_island at Lot 55 beneath the Granville Bridge for another two-day block party. This is the summer opener we come back to each year, and in 2026, it marks the launch of our 10th season.
Across both days, the expanded site opens into a full weekend hangout with licensed bars, food vendors, shaded seating, family-friendly activities, and room to move between dance floor and social spaces.
Friday is curated by @brendocha_ , spotlighting Latinx music genres. Expect rhythm forward selections, a line up made up of local talent, guest selectors from Montreal, and an atmosphere shaped by cross-cultural exchange.

Last week my friend @worldwidewojtek (Www) and I played some records at the first Follow The sound. He’s a true lover of house music and electronic music overall, supports the scene and the good people in it, and has seriously cool ideas on getting the culture tf off meta platforms and back onto blogs with actual personality. Thank you to him for some incredible DJing, to @mada_p for providing us textures for our poster, @esexrocky for the photos, @freaquency.yvr for helping with sound and lighting, and thank YOU for pulling up to FTS vol.1 . 🌸🌸 Tonight we go to 520 Alexander St (back alley) for the debut of Sansibar in Vancouver + Syd Woz and... the debut of a b2b Freaks Only, a duo with combined decades of experience digging for music that feeds their passion behind or in front of the booth.
Born at a Pender Island house party, Freaks Only brings a vision of the past to a realm of the future with their specific and educated approach to the dance floor. They are known as solo deejays @2flowersdj and @lvt.sounds , regularly seen at the booth.

Producing for labels such as Kalahari Oyster Cult, Darknet, Émotsiya, Natural Sciences and his own imprint, Sin Sistema, we know the local freaks have Sansibar tracks in their collection. Come find out what's up!

2flowers, formerly known as André Rose, is a DJ, curator and music collector who shares music with deep intentionality, creating space to exist as yourself on the dancefloor. Shaped by Chicago-area roots, they move across the spectrum of dance music with an ear for analog grooves and records with more character than formula. Their DJing is a celebration of Blackness, gender euphoria, and a lifelong connection to music. In 2025 they co-created the immediately impactful Vancouver event series Altered Soul with visual artist Clara.
