In collaboration with Oslo based studio @bielkeyang to explore their ampersand logo. The idea was to take the logo and reimagine it as digital and experimental, while still retaining the original identity. The studio is in the process of redesigning their website and wanted different outputs that could be used digitally for web and physically for their new office. Inspired by their new light installation, I created a custom tool with a flexible design system that allows the studio to customise the output, allowing for endless variations.

*SOUND ON* Discover Science Journals, part of @springernature wanted to create a visual diary that will tell the story of their brand and convey what they represent. The concept revolves around the particles, represented as letters, freely moving and shifting shapes, seamlessly transitioning between the different topics they represent.

The identity stems from cameras, creating a visual and motion language that pays homage to the Sony Super Hi8. Taking this nostalgic object and reintroducing it playfully through a minimal design system.

An ascii study! Rather than just creating a 2D grid, I wanted it to be more free and utilise the space. Using type, I wanted to create depth and texture. Inspired by Elena Ribender's typewriter art (at the end) and reimagining it generatively.

Generative sketches, playing around with different textures and compositions. Reminiscent of squared papers usually used for mathematical equations, I wanted to create that nostalgic feeling that took me back to the classroom and reinterpret them digitally.

My own interpretation of a flip disc display, experimenting with imagery and type.
Widely used prior to the introduction of led screen, they are quite limited in terms of outcomes, only being able to flip on either side.
Playing around with motion and texture, I wanted to put my own rendition to it.

Some generative and motion studies, focusing on composition and generative outcomes. Portraying stippling within a digital space. The idea was to take the points and find a range of ways to illustrate images. Limiting the number of points creates different variations, filling each space differently.

17th-century still life meets 21st-century financial data. 🤝 Yes, really!
@andreiongd built a whole logic system to compose these scenes, then nudged every object by hand until it felt less “generated” and more “hung in a museum.” The work contains multitudes.
