This project follows five individuals whose lives are shaped by their habits and addictions. The audience is invited to step inside. At first, they are unaware of a watcher. Then they become aware. Through movement, objects, and emotion, we witness pressure, denial and release. “ I know. Addiction doesn’t always look so obvious. It hides behind structure, pleasure, discipline and even behind “good” habits. It’s often defended, disguised, or ignored. It’s driven by shame and the need to cope with pain. This project is not just about addiction, but about what sits underneath it. We think that the opposite of addiction is sobriety.
