The Säntis
Introducing our second watch from STREHLER, an automatic stainless steel wristwatch of 40mm diameter and 9.7mm thickness, with a world time function, a Cottier system operated by the crown.
The Säntis is the little sister of the Sirna. The movement is similar to the SA-30, with an additional module and 41 more components, developed and manufactured in our workshop in Sirnach.
The name comes from a local mountain in the region of Appenzell, a mountain we can see when driving past the workshop, a synonym of adventure and travel while also paying tribute to our local area.
The watch has been designed to be practical in its use: the first position of the crown, clockwise, changes the city; counterclockwise, the 24h disc. The second position is for time setting.
The hands and minute rings are both luminous with C1 BL X1. The cities are also made with luminous material, but printed, which allows any collectors traveling at night to still use the world time function.
The center part of the dial is based upon the design made by
@ericgiroudesign for the Sirna, with a twist. Made out of titanium, it is machined, laser-engraved, polished by hand and anodized. The minute ring and crown insert are also in titanium and anodized after decoration.
A big change compared to the Sirna is the color proposition. Now collectors are allowed to choose among 20 voltage levels of anodization, the three watches presented here are 35V (light blue), 12V (bronze) and 26V (blue).
We will be happy to hear your thoughts on our new model. For any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us!
Notes: the pictures feature a temporary city ring, stars and DST are not correct and will be adjusted for series production
