"Icy Peaks" #noAI #conceptart #digitalart #fantasyart This piece holds a special place in my heart, not because of its content but because of its process. I rarely share personal stories on social media but perhaps this will inspire people to find hope during difficult times.
Most of this painting was created while I visited my mother for long hours at the hospital during her final weeks of a terminal disease. She was usually resting but me and my family were there to support her and also to support each other. Being able to do one of things that gives me most pleasure, which is painting fantasy landscapes (using a tablet in this case), while being there for my mother and family really helped.

This painting started out as a 1h sketch challenge (Photoshop) I did last year. Took the sketch into Infinite Painter (Android) and slowly added more detail to it, wherever I was and whenever I felt in the mood.
