Made a big change recently, and decided to go fully portable. All you ever need to be a composer these days is a laptop and a pair of good headphones - A four-legged assistant is optional..
The woods are never really truly silent.. recording in the Norwegian forest in the freezing cold back in December, and there’s still the wind, the birds, a dog somewhere making himself known and the occasional human sound (cars, planes etc)!

Piano sketch vs arrangement sketch.
Very often I will have a piano sketch before starting arrangement. Here is how the piano sketch has transformed so far to the arrangement of one of my tracks. Still got forest percussion and other sound design to add, and maybe some tweaking of musical elements.
