Final! This is by far the most fun piece I've started in the last few months - I finally got to explore the balance between color and meaning. This painting transcends traditional forms, of course, playing with vibrant hues to encapsulate the essence of a keystone species: the rhino. Amidst its beauty, it carries a poignant narrative, shedding light on the plight of these creatures due to poaching and environmental threats.

"Meet the Key Deer: a symbol of resilience and a vital part of our ecosystem. These incredible creatures aren't just about their stunning antlers. The Key Deer, found in the Florida Keys, is the smallest species of deer in North America, standing about 2.5 feet tall at the shoulder. These deer are classified as endangered, with their population once dwindling to less than 50 due to habitat loss and hunting. Conservation efforts have helped increase their numbers, but they still face threats."
"The Key" 36 x 40. Charcoal. Available now!
