Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who reached out, checked in on me, comforted me, sheltered me, brought/cooked me food, helped me evacuate, move back in, and offered emotional support during this crazy time. Our houses on the ranch are somehow still standing, the citrus saved us. I watched the ranch burn for endless hours from across the river thinking we lost everything. To mourn the loss of all of my belongings, the story of my entire life, and then return home to them unscathed leaves me with an empty feeling I can’t quite describe. I’m grateful but affected. In the meantime I’ll be here praising the lemons and the tangerines.
