Saying goodbye to 2021 is bittersweet. This year has been a year of loss in so many ways. Ringing in 2022 means entering a new yeary mom will never know. A benchmark of moving forward without her and it makes my heart ache. She will still be with me though in other ways. Her presence shows up in other ways now; Owen's playful spirit, hugs from my brother, sister, and dad, the colors of the sunset, artistic expression. She was one of my favorite people, best friends, and a bright and shining light in the world. I will carry all of the good memories from the year as well as my grief into 2022.
