“Liberated Joy” takes the stage at
@orsolina28 after two transformative and intense weeks of creative residency. This piece is more than a performance it is a soul’s release, a celebration of the freedom and joy that persist, survive, and bloom even through the challenges.
Blending ballet, contemporary dance, and the rich textures of Brazilian folk music(forró), this work was born from a deep desire to express authenticity, build cultural bridges, and spark emotional connections that go far beyond movement. With two live musicians on stage, the rhythm becomes alive, adding a heartbeat of its own raw, real, and deeply human.
“Liberated Joy” is not just a title it’s a way of living.
It’s about honoring the journey with gratitude, embracing every experience, even the difficult ones, knowing that each moment carries a lesson and a gift. Choosing joy is, for me, an act of courage. Not despite life’s complexity, but because of it.
Tonight at 7:30pm, I will share the stage with incredible dancers from around the world. Premiering this work marks my first international residency as a choreographer, and I hold that milestone with pride, humility, and an open heart for what’s to come.
I’m deeply thankful for every single person who believed in me and supported this journey. Thank you, Simony Monteiro
@kikisimy , for trusting me and giving me this opportunity. Thank you to my dancers(
@elias_re , giovannaassisg ,
@miranza_s &
@iamfelipedomingos ) , for your professionalism, dedication, and soul in every step.
And tonight, I also thank myself, for never giving up, for dreaming bigger, for trusting my path even without all the answers. If there’s one thing about me: I’ll always figure it out.
With love and gratitude,
Ingrid Silva
