An upcoming solo show in July will focus on my folded works both analogue and digital that I have done over the years. Hence I started experimenting with folds to tranaform my digital works into analogue using Japanese Mokuhanga/ Woodcut as media. #folds, #woodcut, #mokuhanga, #transformation, #soloshow
Just found this snippet from a Stop Motion I recorded 2 years ago in Lapland Sweden but never finished. In the freezing cold, my hands nearly fall off while I animating the photographs in their folds. #folded, #photography, #3d, #stopmotionanimation
The “Byzantine Church of St Saviour in Chora” which was converted into the “Kariye Camii Mosque” after the Ottoman conquest. But it was well worth it, I was moved to see these incredibly beautiful mosaics and frescos. #istanbul, #kariyemosque, #byzantinefresco, #mosaic

This series of Photopolymer Prints is based on photographs of my installation ‘Farewells’ which featured large scale 3d folded photographs of travelers arranged in a large space under railway arches. The exhibition took place in Bochum Germany at Rottstr5 kunsthallen and the etchings were made this year. am having a little break from making digital worlds and will concentrate on making new tangible worlds. #printmaking, #photopolymer, #etching, #printedition
Trip to Vienna to get a break from London. I revisited Schiele, Klimt, Kokoschka. Many moons ago, 1981 I had seen an exhibition with my mum at Hamburger Kunsthalle which deeply impressed me and ignited my interest in Schiele and Klimt. Seeing those works again in flesh was interesting and i wonder which time we are at in at the moment. Viennese art around 1900 is often connected with doom, death, darkness and sexuality.
