What a Défi. Five strong-wind races finished inside the top 20, time at the @point7official stand, business and development meetings, and great moments shared with riders and friends… it was an intense and fun week.
It was exciting to present our new sail constructions: the first full-body seamless Q-Bond, the new overlap construction stitched sails, and the latest batten tensioners. We also had our sail factory owners and production managers from Sri Lanka visiting to experience the real world of windsurfing in action. Seeing the sport from the inside will definitely bring extra value to the future development of our products.
This was also my third time in France this year visiting our dealers, and I’m starting to feel at home there. Especially now with the addition of @funboardcenter in Almanarre and @eric.f808 Thieme, who is sharing incredible feedback backed by his legendary experience.
Super happy as well with @jimmythieme finishing 7th at the Défi, even with a small sail choice mistake in the last race.
For me personally, the event was extremely useful to evaluate sail performance directly on the race course.
Of course, with a bit more focus I would have liked some better starts, but every rider leaves each race wishing for something more. Being out there with the top professional riders finishing top 20 as a brand owner is also what motivates me to keep pushing harder and developing our products with even more enthusiasm.

Point-7 took over the Windsurfing Urnersee Center this weekend to present the new 2026 collection and it delivered exactly what it should.
The gear was not just on display, but out on the water, ready to be tested, and rigs will be available at the centre at all times.
A full weekend of windsurfing energy testing, sessions, good vibes, and a proper community atmosphere. A real connection between windsurfers and Point-7.
That’s how it should always be done, and we thank the Swiss windsuocommunity and Florian for the great hospitality.

Innovation never stops at Point-7.
Our new batten tensioner allows the panels to overlap and create the batten pocket. This overlap reduces stitching and the need for reinforcements, resulting in a cleaner, lighter, and stronger sail.
On the water, the feeling is more direct, smoother, and more efficient. The entire sail has a completely new look.

The new AC-1 are on another level. I honestly wasn’t expecting this much. I finally got on the final versions and I’m convinced we’ve built the best ones.
The new overlap construction, both stitched and QBond, makes the sail incredibly clean in performance. Everything feels more efficient, more direct, just smoother through the whole range. The cam rotation is insanely smooth, and the new sleeve shape changes the game. You just hook in, lock your position, and go. It’s no longer just a central push, now the power sits exactly where you need it, both in your body and at the right height through the rig.
I also loved the evolution of the Future Fly shapes. @taty_frans pushed hard for changes on both board and sail, and it shows. We’re seeing around 2 knots more top speed in the same conditions, with easier, more controlled pressure.
I don’t think I’ve ever had gear this good. But this didn’t happen by chance. A lot of work went into it from everyone. And a big push came from @mojolicustomsails bringing fresh ideas and a completely new approach to the sail structure.
I like the 2025 board, but here is a big update on the new board. It's hoovering with no brakes downwind. Its so easy going that even as the wind pushes more and more the control is not a problem. The upwind is much better as the board has more volume and more power to push and rail with stability. I use it today on easy 8.8 conditions with a 46 fin and cruising easy up to 33.9+ knots. I put the mast track at 127.5, back foot strap all back, front all forward, rigged my new AC-1, qbond 8.8 first time and all felt great without tuning anything further. Tomorrow morning should be good to try the new 96.
