Just wrapped an incredible week sailing from Panama to Costa Rica with @windstarcruises . We spent our days spying wildlife in the lush rainforest, floating in the crystal-clear Pacific off pristine white sand beaches, and lounging on deck under the sun as we sailed between stops.
Every evening ended the same way: blissfully tired, sipping martinis while watching the sunset.
Back home now, and this whole trip already feels like a beautiful hallucination, even with the photos staring back at me. So if I’m still dreaming… where should I head next?
Springtime #tofino island-hopping in the Greek Isles?
Summer along the Italian coast?

Dropped off on Isla Parida, a protected slice of Panama. Pristine beaches, bath-warm water, walking the surf, claiming shade under a palm (eyes up for falling coconuts!), the day stretches slow… and slips away too fast.

We stepped off our ship, the Star Pride, into sauna-like rainforest heat, chasing monkeys, macaws, and sloths. Every rustle promised something wild.
This ancient giant, roots like sculptures, towered into the canopy, the air alive with unfamiliar sounds: the jungle in full conversation.
Sweaty, inspired, exhausted…then back onboard the ship, lounge chair, a few cocktails…we were rum-soaked, watching the sun disappear over the horizon.

Last week’s flight across the Pacific rekindled memories of filming National Geographic’s Over the Horizon. Our small crew sailed from New Zealand to the Marshall Islands, exploring some of the planet’s least-traveled places—a true passion project. From the plane, the vast ocean once seemed the loneliest place on Earth. Now, after months sailing its expanse, far from civilization, it’s one of my happiest.

Last year, deep snow stopped me just shy of the summit—but not this time. I drove my Jeep to nearly 8700’ on one of BC’s wildest off-road trails - the highest motorable road in Canada. Camped with my pup under a starry sky, waking to a breathtaking sunrise, sipping a pour-over coffee above the clouds. 🏕️🌅 I’m hooked on overlanding and trying to find the limits of my Jeep!
