The pork butts might be a little smaller in Vermont, but they still make a tasty sandwich! The first of many Texas BBQ imports to the Green Mountain State. 🍖
Since I've been grilling a lot of whole pork tenderloins, wanted to go for something a little different! Cubed and marinated to make pork souvlaki, then put it all together with tzatziki, pita, and rice pilaf! The veggies were admittedly an afterthought, but worked so well with the skewers.
Tried something a little different for pork shoulder, instead of pulled pork it's burnt ends! First time making a BBQ sauce from scratch for braising, then made some real simple, smoky sweet tacos. Next time need to add some cilantro and pico. 🤌
New BBQ experiment for Friendsgiving! Been wanting to try smoking turkey breast for a while now, so this was the perfect excuse. Brined for 12 hours, then smoked for about 2, and held in the oven with an egregious amount of butter until we dug in. Sadly I forgot to get any photos of it sliced & ready, but it turned out alright! Definitely want to do it again with what I learned. Also used some of the smoked drippings for gravy and it made a huge difference! 🦃
