I am beyond honoured and still can’t really believe that my first book Sorry I Gave Birth I Disappeared But Now I’m Back published by @trolleybooks has just won the prestigious @kraszna_krausz_foundation award for best photography book. Thanks to everyone who contributed towards this publication and supported its making. Thanks to all my muses, their kids, my family the one I was born to and the one I created and to all my friends who beared with me while I disappeared. (Design by @emma_scottchild and forward by @omfgnoway charlotte jansen) I’m also very proud to be next to @isaacjulien who won the moving image award with Lessons of the Hour – Frederick Douglass (Co-published by @delmonico_books The award says: Both the winning and shortlisted titles have been chosen as exemplary demonstrations of originality and excellence in the fields of moving image and photography book publishing. Events celebrating the books and this year’s awards will be held in collaboration with the Barbican and the Victoria and Albert Museum in the autumn with the artists present. Extra emotion for me is that The Kraszna-Krausz Foundation was created by Andor Kraszna-Krausz, who was born in Hungary and moved to the UK in the 1930’s. I can so relate to this quote by him: “One’s own past is a mere continuation and extension of the past of others. One is only a link in a chain, never a complete beginning nor – let us hope – the end of it all” As a hungarian artist living in a place where I refuse to accept any government funded grants this award and nomination means even more to me. It shows that it is possible to do great things without compromises. I know its too late to post and I’m probably still shadowbanned but this is my metime and I finally got around to put together my thoughts.

Im beyond happy - went back to @ludwigmuseum @esterhazy_now award to check our project w @hin_art for the first time since the opening and i was so surprised to see that it worked. People have drawn, created art, made collages, wrote notes and thought about the future and reflected on the social apathy and climate disasters we are facing.. I cried. Thank you to everyone who contributed. Theres no more space in the book but theres still a lot of papers on the table! I think you can also vote for the project but im on a train with no reception so go check it for yourself if you want to! @erikadeakgallery - and thanks to @omfgnoway who helped us build the first episode without which this would have never grown so big.

Andi GÁLDI VINKÓ (*1982, Budapest, Lives and works in Budapest.) Nominee of the Esterhazy Art Award 2025 Title: If You Knew It, Why Didn’t You Do Something about It? In collaboration with Hin, Dana and Noa GÁLDI VINKÓ: "I believe that it is never too late to stop for a second and consider whether we can be better and leave a better future for the next generation – through humour and irony self reflection is always easier.” In a world on the brink of ecological collapse, riddled with global conflicts and increasing social instability, the idea of parenthood can seem absurd. Through a combination of photographs, collages, drawings, paintings, and texts, Andi Gáldi Vinkó sheds light on the emotional and existential questions that challenge parents today. Her installation explores the tension between the innocence of childhood and the terrifying reality of the world that children will one day inherit. The works incorporate drawings, paintings, and writings by the artist’s daughters, Dana (7) and Noa (4), as well as contributions by her artist friend Hin, who lives in Athens, blending them with Gáldi Vinkó’s own photographs and collages. The exhibited pieces invite the viewer to collaborate and contribute their own reflections to a complex yet playful discourse on climate catastrophe, healthcare crises, social apathy, and the search for the meaning of life. It’s been an eventful collaboration with my dear friend @andigaldi It’s been lots of ups and downs to create this series along with her beautiful daughter Dana. This series is now on view at @ludwigmuseum  as part of @esterhazy_now ‘If you knew it, why didn’t you do something about it?’ was first exhibited at Erika Deák Gallery in 2024. The piece confronts systems of silence and the tension between knowing and acting. ——————————————————————— The show will be available till September 14 Visitors have a chance to vote for their favorite work, which will receive a Public Prize, and a chance to exhibit in Eisenstadt #hin #hinart #andigv #andigaldi #ludwigmuseum #erikadeakgallery #photography #photolondon #contemporaryartist#contemporaryart#newartwork#artdesires#satireart#childishart#childrendrawings

The @tango_projekt is a multifaceted cultural initiative focused on the Teleki Square area in Budapest. With @oltaikata ive been shooting images for quite a while now and its finally out in a book - It aims to explore and represent lesser-known aspects of the square’s history through a combination of historical research, literary analysis, and contemporary artistic interpretations. The project also seeks to broaden the range of visual and narrative representations of the area, giving voice to absent narratives and perspectives.

Its been hard to post anything lately on instagram that is about personal work. But as many of you know Ive been working on a new project for the last almost 2 years at the Univesity Hospital of Geneva. This series documents a research program, an unprecedented fine anatomical and physiological study of the clitoris, undertaken two years ago by an interdisciplinary scientific team at the University hospital of Geneva. Maeva Badre PhD researcher, Dres Céline Brockmann (@celine_brck ), biologist and Jasmine Abdulcadir, gynecologist. This research-based art project aims to show scientific breakthrough regarding female sexual pleasure and to break down taboos, myths and false beliefs surrounding the topic. With @natacha_gorwitz we interviewed many historians socilogists doctors and documented our first steps into this discovery for @heidi.news Unfortunately by the time Ive managed to post this the edition has been sold out already but they are working on the reprint. A long way to go in a short time we have left on earth. But if you want to support this project in any ways get in touch!
