Finally I am recording a «solo» album. Itâs gonna be based on the music I wrote between the age of 13-15 years old. Old school black metal. The album will be called Slaught. You heard it first here. đ„đ„đ„#andersodden #slaught #blackmetal
The Resistance Manifesto
Iâve spent decades manifesting bands and projects from the void, but I have rarely built up a real company. 2026 is different.
Meet Genotone.
My comrade Andrew Melchior (CTO for Massive Attack) finally gave me the necessary kick to the head to stop watching from the sidelines and start acting. We are launching a counter-strike to help all musicians seize back control of our creative territory from the tech-billionaires and their war against the arts.
The corporate overlords have had their fun devaluing our craft; now we fight back for the soul of what we create.
This isnât just a business â itâs a resistance.
đ„Nothing seems more important than thisđ„
Music isnât a commodity. Itâs a human frequency. For too long, weâve let the thieves at Spotify and their corporate peers strip our art of its value. The music industry treated us like data points. They lied for a century, telling us we were âproductsâ that needed their permission to exist. They were wrong.
The old industry is a dying Godzillaâmassive, destructive, and obsolete. Weâve watched The Matrix, Blade Runner, and The Terminator. We know how this ends: The machines lose. We are not âcontent.â We are humans expressing the rawest parts of our souls to people like us. The middlemen are dead weight.
While the USA follows the path of Chinaâs control, the EU remains the final frontier for creatorsâ rights. If youâre still waiting for the industry to âsaveâ your career, wake up. They will call us fools for reclaiming our rights. Let them.
The revolution is here. Are you ready to stand, or are you just more data for the machine? Join the movement for âProof of Humanityâ at genotone.no and/or genotone.com

7 years ago this incredible trio did a showcase gig at the @infernomusicconference spreading the news that @cadavertheband was back. So proud to see both @dirkverbeuren and @dimmudamage out there ruling the Metal throne in their own way! Metal until we vanish from this world đ„
Reflecting on a 40-year journey in music often feels like looking at a different lifetime, yet in the world of Norwegian extreme metal, the fire never really went outâit just evolved.
2026 marks exactly 40 years since a single encounter changed the trajectory of my life. In 1986, meeting Ăystein Aarseth and the guys in Mayhem pulled me into the epicenter of a musical revolution. What started as a raw, underground movement in our youth became a global phenomenon that I am still proud to document and define today.
From founding Cadaver to my time with Satyricon, Celtic Frost, and Order, Iâve had the privilege of watching this genre grow from the shadows of Oslo to the worldâs biggest stages.
But perhaps the most interesting turn in this journey was the realization that our «noise» had become a vital part of our national identity. In 2014 and 2015, I found myself in a role I never would have imagined as a teenager: serving as a lecturer for the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (UD). Educating future diplomats and ambassadors on why Black Metal is one of Norwayâs most significant cultural exports remains a career highlight.
Today, whether Iâm on stage or guiding the Black Metal Bus Sightseeing tour through the dark historical scars of Oslo, my goal remains the same: to be an unfiltered narrator for the foundation we built.
Itâs been four decades of chaos, creativity, and cultural diplomacy. Iâm looking forward to what the next chapter holds.

@cadavertheband (NOR) â Demos & Live 1988-1991
Thrashy Death Metal excellence from the pits of the Norwegian Metal underground.
CADAVER was the first Norwegian band to push the limits of speed with blast beats that the scene hadn't yet witnessed. From the DIY "hairdryer-and-distortion" effects used to simulate thunder in their early intros to their avant-garde approach to songwriting, this release is a essential document of a band that refused to fit into a box.
Prior to Norway becoming synonymous with Black Metal, the land of fjords gave rise to many a noteworthy Death Metal band too. After having recently reissued THOU SHALT SUFFERâs whole musical history, we at Darkness Shall Rise productions are immensely pleased to offer you another slab of historically important Norwegian Death Metal. Founded by underground legend Anders Odden in 1988, CADAVER produced a couple of highly influential demos eventually securing them a deal with CARCASS membersâ Jeff Walkerâs and Bill Steerâs label Necrosis records for their landmark album Hallucinating Anxiety in 1990.
This long-overdue compilation covering the whole output produced by Norwegian Death Metal kings CADAVER before the release of their landmark album will surely please any fan of the band and then some.
Coming with a huge booklet in old fanzine style and containing a shitload of pics on top of a very detailed interview with Anders about the early days of CADAVER, this retrospective release is both mandatory for fans of CADAVER and anyone interested in the early days of Death Metal.
A vital document of early Norwegian Death Metal history.
The songs were completely new remastered from the original tapes by Patrick W. Engel at the Temple of Disharmony.

Avaiable as 3LP in 2 colors, 2CD, 2MC and digital.
