We went under the ground with Greensky Bluegrass at The Caverns last night to kick off a two night run in Tennessee. Thereās nothing like packing a cave full of fans and letting a band like this lead the way.
They ran through a catalog of straight up bangers, and the room stayed locked in from the first note to the last. This band continues to prove why theyāre one of the best doing it in the new grass world. Tight, powerful, and built for rooms like this.
One more night tonight to round it out. If last night was any indication, itās about to go even deeper.

Iām celebrating 4 years of continuous sobriety from alcohol and drugs today. My life is infinitely better than it used to be. I used to feel pretty hopeless and didnāt really care if I lived or diedā¦ partying was my personality. It turns out I wasnāt the life of the party that I thought I was and I was killing myself and hurting all the people I cared about. Iām telling you this on the off chance that somebody reading this might need a little help or is feeling the darkness that comes along with addiction. Reach out to me or somebody you trust or somebody that loves you or any number of the great resources out there. I promise you, life can be full of wonder again. I got a bunch of questions from friends about my time in the British Virgin Islands, so I figured I would make a little post about it. š«¶
After lots of studying/textbooking, I spent a week down in the BVIs furthering my sailing skills and getting my next ASA certifications in Coastal Cruising, Bareboat Chartering and Catamaran Sailing. It was lots of work, learning, skill refinement and practice but it all happened while living and sailing on a beautiful 45 ft catamaranā¦ so that was rather awesome!
This wasnāt a Rhythm And Sails thing directly, but itās all connected!
R&S has renewed my love for the islands and the oceans and showed me how magical āboat lifeā can be. Though my focus has always been the musical side of R&S, Iāve learned enough about sailing and island hopping over the years to know that I absolutely love it. These certifications Iāve received are the logical next step to being able to do all of this stuff on my own whenever I want to and it feels really good to set goals, work towards them and accomplish them.
