Proud to share a new film I´ve made called “Elements Of Practice”
Once a week students of Taekwondo gather in the Dojo for a practice session.
I was present for five sessions, documenting the actions.
I was curious to observe the playful yet serious rituals being performed by this group of young students. The camera was a stage mirror, and the reflection revealed physical intensity, an apparent sensitivity, and a presence made of strong will and beautiful attempt.
An exploration of self.

Portrait documentary film, starring the children of Skovmoseskolen.
In 3 chapters, each featuring a piano piece by Jacob David & Ledetraad.
The school is located in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Its a school for children that are developmentally disabled.
The film contains a portrait of all the students at the school, just like when the school photographer visits the school to capture the annual portrait.
Hence the title “Yearbook”
The film portrays children from the age of 6 to 16, so in a sense the film becomes a document and a testament to childhood and growing up - being and becoming.
I made a new film!!
“RIVER REALISM”
For a long time I had an idea that kept re-surfacing, which was to do a portrait film about this river close to where I grew up. When I was a child I went there on countless small adventures, fishing and exploring, and somehow those landscapes was asking to be re-visited with a different purpose.
My proces was romantic. Just me and my camera walking into these nature settings, looking for ways to depict the river, and the physical world it lives in. Looking for beauty and memories.
The footage was recorded during October and November 2024.
The artist and composer Christian Hansen worked on the music, and what he created really opened up the perception of the film. The composition added a sense of dystopia, darkness and depth into the reading of the images, an eerie feeling of time and loss, which I found to be appropriate to accompany the immediate beauty.
In the end, what makes this one stand out, is the awkward but strangely melodic flute.

It is interesting how this video piece, even though it has a commercial intent, circles back to those artistic fascination points I had earlier on, of working with found objects, the sculptural, and storylines with cause & effect actions.

Made this intensely strange stop motion loop when in art school. Another piece from the found objects era, spiced up with a some sort of texture animation. Weird indeed, but grateful for its existence.
