Comparing a few inks 🖋️
Here’s my very “scientific” ranking after testing with a dip pen on Midori paper. And yes, I know there are misspellings 😅 my focus was just on ink performance.
1️⃣ Iroshizuku by Pilot
Exceptionally smooth with an even, consistent flow. This is my top choice for use in pens, honestly hard to go wrong with these.
2️⃣ Anderillium Ink
@anderillium
Very smooth with beautiful, nature-inspired colors. While I haven’t put these through long-term pen testing, they’re a consistent favorite for dip pens, especially when I’m looking for something a little more unique.
3️⃣ Monteverde
@monteverdepens_official
Great flow and very smooth on the page. A solid option if you’re looking for quality ink with a wide range of color choices.
4️⃣ Diamine
@diamine.inkstudio
This one dried slower than the others in this test, but the shimmer inks really shine once dry. Not quite as smooth as the top three, but I’ll definitely use these again, especially for standout colors.
5️⃣ Waterman
Still a good ink, but it landed at the bottom of this lineup for me. Flow felt less consistent and not as smooth overall. I’ll need more testing before forming a final opinion.
