It’s finally out after a very long time ❤️ This was my first project I’ve directed and I learned so much from it.
But truly, I am so so grateful to my amazing cast and crew that worked so so hard to help me make my vision come to life. I got the opportunity to work with so many talented people and it really shows. 💕🙏
Thank you to all who supported this project! It got into a few festivals and that’s more than I dreamed of.

BTPC is a film I hold so dearly to me. As my first and last film as a teen director, it’s the epitome of both making bad decisions and learning how to accept yourself for who you are. This film dives into what it means to be family: not just if you’re blood-related, but that you love and accept each other. There is so much isolation when no one, not even your closest loved ones seem to understand the way you feel. Don’t be afraid to open up & communicate with the loved ones in your life.
Additionally, LGBTQ+ visibility is a topic that is very important to me, which is why I pushed to have BTPC released in June. This story is framed in the ‘90s, a time that was less accepting than the world is now, but I want to also show how we really haven’t come as far as we think. There are so many struggles queer individuals face not only within their identity but also within their families and friend groups.

2 years ago today I was on my first film set! ‘Cherry’ was an amazing experience, and I’m so thankful to have spent it with my Soaring Phoenix Family! To many more films, wherever the future takes us!
