The theme on which all the artists poured their creativity in this gathering comes to mind: A WORLD AT WAR. Today, now, repeatedly, I am haunted by the feeling of responsibility. However, the mirror gives me back a look of apathy. A face in shock. A mannequin would be warmer. I sense around me the urgent search for vindication. Also the anguish of feeling empty-handed. The incessant rhythm of the news ends up being integrated into the comfort zone. We set the table. We prepare the food. We serve it. We turn on the television. We listen. We eat. We are able to eat in the face of horror. We are able to speak in the face of horror. We are able. We go on. The words one reads cease to make sense. Speeches become faded, degraded. Lack of conviction buries our purposes. There is no confidence. In this world that seems to have lost its mind, art can be seen as a frivolous and useless practice. I certainly understand this stance, as I have often fallen into these deep holes. However, every time I have the opportunity to dance, I see its fundamental value in my life and in the lives of those around me. I have not come here to give arguments or to convince anyone. There are already many philosophers who can sell you the answer that you need. The little I know is that art is established in feeling. To approach feeling is to take a step towards life. Real life. In una realtà divenuta finzione, la danza e la ricerca performativa vengono a restituire verità alla vita. Le verità molteplici e cangianti del corpo, il fluire dell'esperienza, la consapevolezza del momento presente, dello spazio, delle storie che ci abitano. Fin de La Gestación, Ciclo Formativo en el Arte de Nacer. Ayer escribí el mensaje: "Dantza nire bizitzan leku garrantzitsu bat duelaz konturatzen ari naiz." Y la verdad es que es bonito, aunque dé miedo, también. He decidido revisitar las fotos del último fin de semana de La Gestación, y bueno, no tengo mucho que decir ante tanta sensibilidad. Me siento agradecido por haber tenido la oportunidad de estar allí, de abrazar el coraje y exclamar un gran "¡Sí!". Susurrando discursos nunca antes pronunciados, haciendo crujir los intestinos en la más sutil de las formas. Qué belleza de viaje, qué generosidad en la compañía... Gracias @fernandoortegagorrita por mirar sin imponer. Gracias @butosofia por guiar sin señalar. Gracias a mis compañeras por explorar sin retroceder. ¡Pronto nos vemos!
