My first @sewpgh event with Amrit! The theme was ✨More Is More✨. I made a backless dress from the trimmings of my skinny silk. It was so much fun and I can’t wait to make the other outfits I saw and come to more events!

I finished a new ring! This was my first time attempting prongs for holding a stone. Still I managed 8 textured nickel silver leaves surrounding a smoked welo opal, using a glorified cigar lighter for a torch. Thermal mass is still my enemy, but I’m managing to do designs with comparably inexpensive materials.
And a history of my rings to date. I’ve been learning for almost exactly a year. Everything is copper or nickel silver.

Breathtaking work. Looking through @momentsbymoriah photos and astonished by how incredible they are. Her photos are dripping with the mood in the energy. Catching the tension in the stillness. Her photos feel like that quick little breath you take in the moment on stage, where you remember where you are, smile to yourself, and then fully submerge back into the act.
