* 𝙻𝙸𝚃𝚃𝙻𝙴 𝙰𝚁𝚃𝙸𝚂𝚃 *
When I was little, I always hoped for a career as a musician. I sang and practized every single day. Even though I never really got used to bigger crowds, I kept writing those crooked songs you could impossibly sing along to. I wrote my songs in tiny living rooms like many idols of mine. I somehow learned from the best, but always did it my way. My parents never wanted me to be a musician at all, but I had no other choice. After my teenage years as a singer in punk bands in the late 90s, I realized the real power of the word. I grabbed my acoustic guitar and wanted to write true lyrics for the rest of my life. With each and every song I wrote, I became more ture, about 20-30 songs a year, it’s simply training. We dropped album after album and wanted to take over the World. I hardly slept and kept on going, even though I was shaking from limes disease for 2 years. But I never lost contact with myself, the band or the audience, we wanted this ship to sail the oceans, so badly, despite the music business got seasick. We toured Ireland, Germany & many fantastic places in Switzerland and all over. I’m very grateful for all the pain we shared on our way. But to be honest and poetic with y’all, this pond is poisoned and I will never drink from this water again. Almost like the fellowship of the ring, we felt like knights doing the right thing: fighting for more emotional music on the planet. After the birth of my second daughter I realized, it’s not my business anymore, it’s business only, period. More hype than substance, everything cheap for big money. To tell a story in real life feels way more attractive and authentic to me. Fire it up! I don’t want to play this for a while, I want to do real things. Whatever happens to our final album EASY WIN, it could be our last dance. I’m not bitter at all, I just want to let loose and draw from the full source of creation.
Whoever knows what’s next, right?
Just do it.
