Those who know me know I’m not exactly a social butterfly — I don’t make new friends very often. Niki is one of those rare exceptions. From the moment we met, he quickly became someone very close to my heart. A truly unique soul and one of the greatest human beings I’ve ever had the chance to know.
I was invited to a small birthday happening and prepared a funny little “surprise-bag”. Then I realized Niki was celebrating together with @peterrrgram (whom I had never met before). Well… you can’t show up with just one present when two people are celebrating. 🤷🏻♂️
So I did something I never do — I painted the same thing twice and made two little surprise-bags.
Anyways — go over to @niki_powernap and wish him a happy birthday.
You can never spread too much love. The older I get, the more I realize you can’t tell the people you appreciate often enough how much they mean to you.

2. Start drawing. Confidence level: 100%.
3. After three strokes: instant hatred. This is trash. Career over. Why did I even try.
4. Stop. Stare at it. Suffer. Question life choices.
5. Pick it up again and make a lot of mistakes…
6. Realize those mistakes actually work really well and look good.
7. Now motivation kicks in again.
8. Finish the piece (thinking, “I wouldn’t have thought…”).
9. Have another idea.
