I was looking through an old hard drive this evening for something else when I came across this Axis promo pic taken approximately 17 years ago (Autumn 2008) for promoting the Urfe album. I'm not sure why I've dressed as if auditioning for a z-list nu metal band though. This one was taken on the bridge over Jesmond Dene in Newcastle.

Axis never sleeps. Here's Brooke abusing his vocal cords in the service of the next album, which we hope to finish coagulating sometime this Autumn.

It's hard to believe after such a long wait that Apertures is six months old already! Time flies like an arrow, fruit flies like a banana. How do you think it stacks up against what we did before?

Mike's other band Nemorous is opening Fortress Festival this weekend and Axis stuff will be available from the merch table, including the bands' last box of "Ichneumon Method" LPs - get them while they're room temperature!
