Lost In Theatre Land wrote of our characters ‘ Quite without realising it, they have come to form a makeshift family’. This is what (In) Good Spirits is about, creating family and love despite identity, despite mortality or permanence or history. Our characters find this when they are faced with the very worse case scenario, for our cast and crew, we found this through the wonderful process of making theatre.
We are still reeling from our run at vault and can’t wait to perform one more time this Sunday at Greenwich Theatre. Please do come along, if you can, and see our production. (In) Good Spirits’ future may seem uncertain but if we can learn anything from Joanne, Ted, Mara and Alex it is that there is always the chance of the future you always wanted, just around the corner.

Rehearsals are underway! A huge thank you to @theatrepeckham for providing our rehearsal space. Our cast are getting to know each other and workshopping how to become our ghosts for our show in February! Meanwhile our designer is hard at work designing beautiful costume and set pieces for us. #InGoodSpiritsPlay #VAULTFestival
Our incredible scenographer @anasmoleanu has been working on different design concepts for this year’s play. We wanted to share some Ana’s models and thoughts with you as they have really inspired us ❇
"The visual concept that I used as a starting point was of a reflective window film that would reflect whichever side was lit the brightest. This would create two distinct spaces on stage for the two narratives, that could both be visible to the audience at different times or even simultaneously." (Pics 1&2)
"I then took the same reflective film and created a small, claustrophobic space that would serve as Antigone's holding cell. If the stage space around it was lit instead, then that could function as the space for Oedipus' narrative, and Antigone would be less visible but still on stage and an audience member herself." (Pic 3)
We love these so much and will share a few more with you over the next week!
