Since September, a new little dog chapter has been unfolding, made possible by the year-long support of @stimuleringsfonds . A year of wandering, testing things out, traveling, and “talking dog,” while thinking through ideas of witnessing practices, posthuman theories, and spatial memories. Starts at the animal shelter where I grew up, a place that now feels like animal archaeology. Once inhabited by hundreds of dogs, its soundscape is now the soft murmur of wild cats colonies. Ten thousand kilometers away, it becomes about cartographing an alternative historiography for what are now Peruvian archaeological sites through the perspective of the viringo, the dog who witnesses the country’s history. It moves back on a vivid reconstruction of visual-spatial histories through the routines of rescue dogs mediated by animal-shelter workers; returning to Villalba, which witnessed the arrival of the settler dog in 2023, and now anticipates its posthuman memory. It turns to dogs’ agency within histories of violence and trauma shaped by today’s abandonment in Spain: the case of Cayena an her 5 sisters, revisited through the Ottoman dog “island” episode, which was witnessed by the inhabitants of the Marmara side of Istanbul a hundred years ago. On how to speak beyond language, on how to speculate beyond human-logics.

⚘ The last months of 2025 brought together a multivocal exploration of the gestures, inscriptions, and shared knowledge within and around the Complesso di Santa Maria Ausiliatrice in Venice's Castello district.
The result became Opera Aperta: Repair as a Radical Act, the book of the @holyseepavilion2025 at the 19th International Architecture Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia.

The Lab is a collective space for research and creation at the intersection of practices of theory and artistic practice. It gathers around post-extractivist propositions emerging within artistic, cinematic, and research-based work.
Through monthly collaborative sessions held at Utrecht University, the Lab foregrounds exchange, experimentation, and critical inquiry over finished outcomes. Sessions unfold through collective reading and viewing, alongside hands-on exercises in visualisation methods and artistic research practices in the environmental humanities.
Participants share work in progress—films, images, archival materials, texts, fragments, and questions—around a shared viewing and reading table.

Los patrones climáticos alterados, la disminución de los caudales y la desertificación progresiva hacen visible una fragilidad compartida. La escasez de agua deja de ser una excepción para convertirse en una condición estructural de nuestro tiempo. Piedra y torre participan en esta realidad con una condición similar: su visibilidad depende del agua que las cubre y las revela. Son intermitentes, entre lo visible y lo sumergido, entre lo que permanece y lo que se disuelve. Cada reaparición trae consigo un mensaje: nos recuerda que el clima posee memoria, que cada oscilación del agua es una escritura sobre la superficie.
Sequías, inundaciones, piedras que emergen o quedan bajo el agua ocultando temporalmente sus mensajes. En este texto, la diseñadora-exploradora visual y documental Ana Robles Pérez nos invita a revisar la memoria climática y la voluntad humana de estabilizar lo inestable. Una piedra, un campanario, una presa y una teja. La memoria climático-espacial del paisaje, es la sexta contribución de este séptimo y último bloque de la etapa editorial del blog, dedicado a las atmósferas.
