THE SURPRISE IS OUT YALL! HUNGER GAMES LA PRESS PHOTOGRAPHED BY YA BOY! How do I even form words for this? My mom and I have been super fans of the Hunger Games ever since the first film came out in 2012. Since then, it’s always been a tradition to watch the series every Thanksgiving together. Now, here I am a little over a decade later shooting press for The Hunger Games: Ballad of the Songbirds and Snakes WITH HUNTER SCHAFER AND RACHEL ZEGLER FOR PEOPLE MAGAZINE!!😭 This was truly a dream come true. For years I’ve been manifesting a shoot with @hunterschafer and it finally became a reality! 😭💕And Rachel BAAAYYYBEEE!!! Wait until y’all hear the pipes on this angel. The mic is ON! Back in 2022 when I wrote my first draft for @beautifulwildstrange , I was curious to see what other shows and films were out there for people of color navigating the ebs and flows of polyamory. That’s when I came across @markmaryandsomeotherpeople and became absolutely spellbound by @hayley.law performance. Watching the film, I deeply resonated with Mary because there were so many similarities to what I had felt with my own experience. The freedom, the love, the hard conversations, the eventual heartbreak and trying to move on from the past while also being grateful that I experienced such deep feelings. It became my comfort film that I would watch for 4 years. Little did I know that one day our paths would cross at a Los Angeles mall. The moment I saw Hayley, I had to tell her just how much she inspired me and how grateful I was for the film and her character. Later on, I was curious and slid in her DMs to see if she’d be open to being my muse one day. I was so thrilled when she told me yes. Last year, I didn’t really make any personal art for myself and felt like I lost myself for a while. So it felt really good to create something again with people I adore like Hayley and @grilled_cheese_unicorn as our amazing stylist.
