Hi, I’m Aly Carlisle.
I’m usually sipping on an over-steeped tea while pondering all the words I never said. It’s hard to say what’s going on inside behind these little walls so instead I pick up a camera to communicate to the world.
I find that the most beautiful things are aged. A perfect day for me is usually the simplest of them. There’s always a candle burning near by and music playing through my old speakers. My favorite snack is a mango sprinkled with Cardamon. I have a terrible habit of smoking spliffs and taking out the trash a day too late.
Things are changing and i’m excited to share them with you. Thank you for being here and looking.
Xx one for you. One for me.
I worried a lot. Will the garden grow, will the rivers flow in the right direction, will the earth turn as it was taught, and if not how shall I correct it?
Was I right, was I wrong, will I be forgiven, can I do better?
Will I ever be able to sing, even the sparrows can do it and I am, well, hopeless.
Is my eyesight fading or am I just imagining it, am I going to get rheumatism, lockjaw, dementia?
Finally I saw that worrying had come to nothing.
And gave it up. And took my old body and went out into the morning, and sang.
I Worried
