Just added a 25 degree neck shim to my Paisley Tele. The action was not even along the neck. Now it’s perfect. Neck shims can really make a big difference in playability on Fender guitars. @fendertele@analogalien
My Crunch Box was in need of a few foot switch. Quick repair and good as new. We’ll be doing a fuzzZone episode about the Crunch Box very soon, so stay tuned.
🎸 The FuzzZone – Episode 10: Zen Drive, Classic Boss Overdrives & The Rumble Seat
Jack and Joe are back in Cloud 9 Recording Studio for Episode 10 of The FuzzZone, diving into some of the most versatile and widely used overdrive pedals around.
We start with the Hermida Zen Drive, a pedal known for its smooth, amp-like overdrive and touch sensitivity. Loved by players chasing a warm, dynamic tone, the Zen Drive delivers rich harmonics and a natural feel that responds beautifully to your playing.
Next, we take a look at two workhorse pedals that we use all the time — the Boss OD-1 OverDrive and the Boss Blues Driver. The OD-1 is famous for its classic, mid-focused overdrive, while the Blues Driver offers a more open, dynamic sound that can go from light breakup to gritty drive with ease.
We also included some helpful resources:
• A way to date your Boss pedals using serial numbers
• A Zen Drive demo video so you can hear it in action
To wrap things up, we introduce one of our own creations — the Analog Alien Rumble Seat, a unique pedal with three effects in one. We give you a preview here, with a full demo coming soon.
If you’re into overdrive pedals, tone shaping, and the gear behind great guitar tone, Episode 10 is packed with sounds you’ll want to hear.
