WHAT A SHOWCASE 🥺👏
Last Thursday, a group of students and alumni who regularly attend MOVE’s aerial hoop classes put on an aerial hoop and silks showcase to celebrate Women’s History Month and MOVE in March.
Congratulations to everyone for putting on an incredible showcase and to our amazing instructor @anaerial for helping put it all together 🤩
The group created their own aerial hoop routine with music before moving onto a silks routine.

Jumping on the 2016 trend ✨
2016 was a real mix bag. I was a new mum, adjusting back to working life with my hormones playing havoc and the reality of caring for a little person with no family around and astronomical childcare costs as a gateway to a slice of normality.
I was determined not to let motherhood stand in the way of my career goals and art pursuit. I was ten years into my aerial career then, since my first ever paid gig in 2006, and had so much more to give. I reevaluated priorities, focused on what really mattered and learnt to block the noise. I found my ‘no’ and became mentally and physically stronger. Later that year, I lost my dear cousin to cancer, which further reinforced the desire to live a meaningful life.
All in all It was a good year of work. Did some pretty cool gigs, from corporate, to street shows and a lot of fire in between! Together with creative shooting and filming. A lot of grown up stuff started then: looking at mortgage options, paying into a private pension, teaching at UWE, and forging most of my long-term work relationships.
Challenging doesn’t touch it.
