LISTEN FOR THE LIE won the Audie Award for Best Mystery!!!!
The Audies are like the Oscars for audiobooks, and I am so blown away that my book was even nominated, much less won!!
People ask me all the time how much I had to do with the audiobook, and I always tell them the same thing ā very little! Ally, a producer at Macmillan audio (thatās her on the right in the second photo), emailed me back in 2023 like, āI have a great idea!ā (see the third photo!) I agreed, she had the brilliant idea to hire @januarylavoy and @jwdamron to narrate the book (in the second photo with Ally), and they took it from there and made something incredible.
Huge congrats to them and the whole team at @macmillan.audio . I could not have imagined this back in 2019, when I first thought, āIād like to write a book thatās really great in audio format.ā Thank you all for doing such an amazing job! ā¤ļø

Iām so excited to officially announce that Universal is developing LISTEN FOR THE LIE as a TV show! I had the pleasure of doing a panel on Sunday at the LA Times Festival about the adaptation with @jordys.book.club , executive producer Sue Naegle, and writer Rachel Shukert, who is adapting the book. It was SO cool to get to talk with this amazing team about the process of bringing the book to the screen. This project is in such great hands, and I canāt wait to see how it all shapes up!

Writing whatever I want and making it as weird as I want!! Drafting isnāt always my favorite, but Iām enjoying exploring a new story right now. Itās always nice to have a few months to work on something before sharing it with anyone!
