A trio
Dancing my body to the sounds of my first son and the moves of my second growing in my belly.
This was filmed while moving through some ideas for Social Organ, working with my toddler in the room and 23 weeks pregnant. You can see more at the Dancebase scratch night on Friday the 20th of March where I'll be sharing and seeking feedback on some of my (our) explorations.

🖐️ Spring Scratch Night artist spotlight: Amy Robertson 🖐️
Amy is an Edinburgh-based dancer with experience traversing stage, screen, outdoor and site specific work. Recently Amy has been exploring caregiving and nurturing as a catalyst for making, wholeheartedly embracing being a dancing mother.
At our Spring Scratch Night, Amy will share 'Social Organ' (working title): an exploration of sensory (over)load—how our cells link into pathways through sensory experience to become knowledge and skill, how sensory load can bolster or break, numb or awaken.

Over the last two weeks, Amy Robertson (@amymoves ) has been in residency working on 'First, Start'—exploring sensory load, and how to work and create around full time caring responsibilities.
Amy is considering the ebb and flow of a sensory experience, and the ways in which bodies are (or are not) equipped to deal with this.
This Friday at 15:00 Amy will share her work so far—book your free ticket and swing by!

I'm in residency at Dancebase this week and next week. I'm starting a new work while also exploring ways of working.
The work is sensory load, considering the ebb and flow of a sensory experience from internal to external to further then back again.
The way of working is caregiving and nurturing as a catalyst or strategy for making. In other words, having my 1 year old in the studio while I'm working as well as having time alone.
I have a sharing next Friday 26th 3pm here at @dancebase
Sharing things from some time back, 2023 moving and making when I was 5 months pregnant.

The pantry
One of my favourite spaces, always gets me in the mood for cooking, baking or mixing up a drink. I'm also really in love with this deep red burgundy limewash I made for the walls.
