I still can’t believe that a random story post when I first shared this idea actually manifested into a real event. None of this would have happened without Cian and Elijah replying to that and months of planning
My intention of creating Flaura Farm is from my passion to hold space to embrace creativity in a world that is driven by capitalism. As humans we thrive in nature, creativity and genuine community 🫶
Biggest thanks to Cian and Elijah for months of team work, my parents, Indi for the incredible amount of behind the scenes support, Yaz, Allexis and Holli for helping props, Gracie, katie, franzi, teddy helping with content filming, and Jono for building the stage framing in less than 10 hours before the show + errands!
This was a non profit event with a tiny budget, on the way we faced a lot of challenges, many last min changes, i was running on almost no sleep, questioning if we could actually pull it off, the last week I was overthinking everything that could go wrong, thanks to my mannsss for keeping me sane and putting up w my tweakery 🫣
What made me emotional was seeing how everyone came together to help and solve problems so quickly. Even DJs and guests jumped in to help, nurses on site acted efficiently, and all the effort felt so worth it when I saw the FF tribe smiling at the campsite, people making new friends on the dance floor, dancing harder when it rained and being blown away by the live artists, DJs who kept the energy going until 3am with the last ones still standing.
Shot Joey for being dragged into this to run errands the entire 4 days straight, and still busting down moves on the dance floor with us. (Thank u guys for adopting him🙏🙏)
This felt that it was a true grassroots festival, I could feel all the love every single person poured into. Seeing everything actually happen when it once only existed in my imagination was honestly surreal. Watching this little community come together made this whole week literally the most fulfilling week of my life 🥹🌿
