I am honored and humbled to have had my request for proposal accepted to be the photographer for the Redwood Region RISE (Resilient Inclusive Sustainable Economy) project. RISE is a coalition of 150+ members engaging over a thousand residents across Tribal Lands, Del Norte, Humboldt, Lake, and Mendocino Counties.
The project is implementing a 10-year Regional Roadmap: a community- and data-driven plan to bring sustainable, quality jobs to our region while advancing environmental stewardship and social equity through the statewide California Jobs First initiative.
My role in the project was to photograph four focus areas in each of the counties and Tribal Lands; working lands and the blue economy, arts, culture, and tourism, health and caregiving, and renewable energy.
