Vertical forms filter vision like blinds, shifting with each viewer. Like a Rorschach, the work moves between landscape, abstraction, and memory. 🌊❄️

As part of Hidden Currencies: Water Justice in the Age of AI, this conversation on water stewardship and Indigenous knowledge brings together speakers rethinking water not as a resource, but as a living system.
Following a 15 – minute preview of the documentary Undamming Klamath, a Swiftwater production, directed by Shane Anderson, the discussion will explore what the largest dam removal project in U.S. history reveals about collaboration, Indigenous stewardship, and freshwater futures under climate pressure.

Thursday, May 7th at 6pm Babatunj and Charmaine will perform at the @swissconsulate_sf Swiss Consulate for Hidden Currencies; Water Justice in the Age of AI ; instigating a visual dialogue with On the Horizon.
It has been a long time coming… I have waited years to be able to connect and collaborate with Babatunji, knowing his range of movements, the ways he’d be able to breathe life into this work.
It was an instant click and what followed was a transformation of my garage into an energetic force field. Wait until you see them both on site! They themselves are a wave, carrying you through a story, built on gestures & movements.

A Zurich-born, Bay Area-based data artist, Niemeyer transforms invisible systems such as water, climate, and networks into something we can see, feel, and question. And that’s not all! Presented by the Consulate General of Switzerland in San Francisco @swissconsulate_sf , and timed with SF Climate Week @sfclimateweek , 𝘏𝘪𝘥𝘥𝘦𝘯 𝘊𝘶𝘳𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘦𝘴 explores water as a living medium whose circulation sustains both life and technological innovation. The series runs through May 10, bridging Swiss and U.S. perspectives — convening artists, Indigenous knowledge holders, scientists, and youth to explore the future of water stewardship through the lenses of diplomacy, technology, and public practice.
The central exhibition features works by artists: Mark Baugh-Sasaki, Kristiana Chan 莊礼恩, Céline Ducret, Ana Teresa Fernández, Greg Niemeyer, and Annelia Norris (pue leek la’).
