Hereās my latest commission all finished & ready to install.
Itās going on a pantry floor, so itās made using the paper-backed method. That means itās layed temporarily onto paper in reverse, then when itās installed itās flipped over. Always nerve wracking as installation is fiddly, and you canāt tell what it looks like from the front, but if the back looks good thatās generally a good sign.
The āUnswept Floorā is a classic Roman design (there are four surviving pavements like it) and was meant to look like food discarded across the floor after a Dionysian feast. When my client said this was going in a pantry, and gave me free rein on design, I know it was the perfect chance to make my own version. Iāve gone classic aesthetic with modern day references š°
Iāll be installing it myself (š¬) in a few weeks so wish me luck š¤

I made this alongside the pinks swans and was worried this one would look a bit meh next to them. But so happy with how it turned out & it sits perfectly in Kirstyās floral adorned cottage. Thanks to the @burlingtonbathroom pink sink for making it look especially gorgeous.

I finally installed this floral mosaic at the weekend, with the help of maestro @giulia_vogrig
It's a vestibule mosaic, sitting just inside the front door of a newly renovated home which was once part of Middlesex Hospital in Fitzrovia.
The clients wanted the mosaic to represent their families mixed heritage. We've got French lavender, a Bulgarian rose, and a Californian sequoia pine cone, with blue forget-me-nots as a nod to the buildings past life as a hospital, and lychees as the clients drank lychee Martinis on their first date.
