And thatās a wrap. Final leg spent up in the mountains. Sri Lanka is beautiful, highly recommend to anyone wanting to go somewhere culturally very different and so beautiful, without spending a fortune (it was Ā£1500 per person - hostel accommodation in our own private room, flights and taxis plus food etc).
Christmas and Jan has been tough since dad died, this was a lovely way to kick off the year and change up the mood.

A shout out today to my incredible big sis @starbeas33 who gave me a gorgeous birthday this month.
I got lucky. Sheās always looked after me, from when I was a little kid, annoying her asking to play (5 year age gap), to when I went through divorce and allllll the other challenges that life throws our way, sheās always been my cheerleader, and I hope Iām hers too.
It was my birthday a couple of weeks ago and for whatever reason, I just wasnāt feeling it this year. She texted me a few days before asking my plans and I said Iād be at home chilling and watching tv. She scooped me up and booked us both into a spa day, working out the ideal location between us both (organisation skills extraordinaire) and telling me when to be there.
If youāre lucky enough to also have a big sister who still looks after you, even though you are grown, count yourself as a winner. I know I do.
