The hardest part of this drill is the first circle following the reload. You tend to have a lot of tension from the manipulation and such a precision shot requires focus.

Work sent me 320 miles north of the Arctic Circle. I'm just going to start off with the negative: I did not see a polar bear. 🚬
The sun stays above the horizon for 83 days from May 10 to August 1. My hotel room was lit up like a GD alien surgical table all night. I will not be visiting during the winter because 30 Days of Night is a real phenomenon.

90 YARDS (1x)
An offhand shot at 90 yards on a 12" plate is difficult in and of itself. Add a manipulation, like an unloaded start (bolt closed), just before you take the first shot and there are lessons to be learned
1. RELAX. After performing a manipulation quickly, you must immediately ease the tension from the firing hand and focus on isolating motion of that hand to the trigger finger.
2. CHEEK WELD. If you throw the rifle up onto your shoulder in a sloppy manner and fail to bring the gun up to your cheek, major issues will present. Mechanics over speed always.💋

APPENDIX GRIP 🐇
Today's training session focused on GRIP. When drawing from appendix, delete the word 'FAST.' Focus on stabbing the strong hand down (web of thumb and index finger high on backstrap) and getting the support hand behind the gun as close to the torso as possible. Focus on those steps, and speed becomes a byproduct.
Today I'm using my APX holster from @t1cs designed by Donovan @point_1_tactics ⚡️I've had this for several months now and it's comfortable as heck. It was adjustable/ customizable out of the package. I got to pick the ride height. You can take the magazine holder off. A lot of times my hips are too narrow to have both a spare mag and the gun.
