Check out this music video I shot while in Bali, Indonesia with @lexnourbeats , @swayveemusic & @iam_vicoka 🌴🎥 This project was a huge undertaking, 30 hours of flying each way, planning every scene from overseas, navigating language barriers, and working with a tight turnaround the moment we got back home. Despite all that, this trip was nothing short of amazing. I was surrounded by some seriously talented people who helped bring everything together. If I could go back, I wouldn’t change a thing. I’m so excited to finally share this project that @directedbydario and I have had in the vault for quite some time — “Fire” by Alessia Cara. This song beautifully captures the burning passion between two people falling in love. From a cinematographer’s point of view, we all felt that shooting this entirely in black and white would enhance the emotional depth and help push the narrative behind the vision. Our team was absolutely unbelievable on this shoot. I can’t thank everyone enough for their hard work during this extended one-day production — from the camera team to art, lighting, and every department in between, the aesthetics of this video truly shine. I’m so excited to share stills from the latest music video I was the Cinematographer on, for Alessia Cara — “Fire” which just dropped on YouTube! This is one of my favourite projects I’ve worked on to date. I absolutely love the black and white aesthetic throughout the video, it was such a unique touch. this was shot using a Red Helium and a Raven as B cam, using sigma Cine glass with a 1/4 pro-mist to soften the image.
