👋🏼 it’s been a minute since I last “introduced” myself on here, so for all the new insta-friends that are following along, welcome! I’m the owner/designer/illustrator/calligrapher/(insert any other role) behind AMR Design Studio. I specialize in creating event stationery and details that are infused with intentionality. One of my favorite parts of working in events and weddings is pulling inspiration from a client’s story, venue, or event aesthetics, and creating pieces that elevate those details into art. If you’ve following along for a while, you know I started my business as AMR Calligraphy back in 2016 and rebranded last year to better capture the essence of the work I have the privilege to create. Whether you’ve been cheering on since I started 8+ years ago, or are a new friend here, thank you for the support 🫶🏼 A few other things you should know me: ✨While I go by Sina for short, my name is Alfonsina. ✨I’m a VERY proud immigrant from the Dominican Republic that came to the US when I was 5, and became a citizen at 15. ✨ I have my masters degree in architecture and worked in the industry for well over a decade (my very first job was an office assistant at a firm when I was 14 🤓). Authenticity and meaning, it’s what I live for about when it comes to details ✨ Unpopular opinion: yes- doing all the big and fun and unique things are great, and yes- more can be more, but if it’s not rooted in intentionality, what is it all for? In practice, this looks like recreating your grandmother’s artwork that was handed down and infusing those pieces throughout your wedding design, or adding texture with leather because it reminds you of the old books in the library where you fell in love. Weddings and events aren’t about paper or signage, yet they have the opportunity to carry so much sentiment. When you work with us, we elevate those details to art, and elevate your day with meaning. . . It’s been a couple of weeks since I announced our rebrand, and wanted to give a big thank you for all of the love and kind words, the support means more than you know. Introducing, AMR Design Studio ✨ I’m so proud of what I’ve built with AMR Calligraphy from 2016 to yesterday, but today, we usher in a new era. For a long time, I’ve felt like my brand didn’t capture the essence of the work I have the honor of creating for clients- work that is refined, elegant, and infused with meaningful details of a client’s story that are elevated into art. My updated name and new look finally align and I couldn’t be more thrilled. Almost 2 weeks into the new year seems like a good time to re-emerge 🌼 2025 was a beautiful, messy, fulfilling year of growth in both life and business, and I’m carrying gratitude for all of its lessons into 2026. Still not over the design of Sip & Share 🧡 We wanted to lean into late fall without defaulting to the expected autumn aesthetic - yes to harvest tones and deep warmth, but no cider donuts or mulled cider. Think velvets and rich color, without flannel or pumpkins. This was about honoring the season and cranking it up a notch. I’m endlessly grateful for the design vendors who showed up with bold ideas, creative confidence, and a true willingness to think outside the box. Since save-the-dates have been front of mind lately, let’s warm things up on this snowy day. Taking a look (way) back at C+C and a peek into couple of different ways we carried their design all the way through to day-of. This couple’s goal was for their elevated celebration to ~feel~ inviting and fun. Stella, the star of the save-the-date design and the most adorable pup, was up for the task. Her parents wanted her to play a big role in their day, so what better way than for a custom illustration of Stella to invite you to save their date 🥹 she was also featured all throughout their day-of designs, from the bar menu, to custom napkins, and even cookies! Next, the family’s stunning private estate and lush floral package inspired their custom floral illustration on the save the dates. This artwork became a pattern for their invitation wrap and seating chart installation, as well as accent artwork on the invitation card, main bar, dinner menus, and itinerary sign. These are just two examples of the types of countless design decisions we make to create pieces that are intentional to the client, feel and place. The best part? Sip & Share brought together an incredible group of New England wedding professionals for an evening of connection!
