Let’s talk about content creation + some of the biggest misconceptions I hear! First of all, if you don’t want to create content, you don’t need to create content! It’s possible to run a VERY successful business without ever recording a video, posting on LinkedIn/Instagram, or writing on Substack‼️ You can also create a very successful marketing funnel without doing these things. So if you don’t feel called to create content, don’t do it. Find other ways to get your message into the world and share your work that feel aligned for you. (There are many!) If you DO feel called to create content in some way, here’s one way I teach business owners to approach it that tends to differ from what I see out there: 🔥How you create, and what you create changes, depending on where you are in your business journey.🔥 I see a lot of people teaching the same content strategy or same content process to business owners & entrepreneurs who are in VERY different stages of their business journey. This is extremely ineffective! It also creates a lot of anxiety and overwhelm for the business owner that tends to lead to a viscous cycle that feels like never enough. That feeling further creates burnout or frustration—and an ever-growing content to-do list that doesn’t produce ROI fast enough to support a brand new venture and help you get to the next, more sustainable stage of business growth. I teach my clients to approach content creation differently at specific stages of their business journey. In the beginning, we approach it as a creative practice and a tool to help refine messaging, do market research, and practice using your voice. Along the way, I introduce crucial messaging frameworks & strategies so that as you get more comfortable sharing your work with the world, your message and offer clarity also increases.
