Giving birth is one of the most underrated experiences. Not only does your body change to carry life, but your mind transforms, you start thinking like a protector and an architect, piecing together a future for someone who doesn’t even exist yet.
The responsibility of who they’ll become falls on your shoulders, so you rise to the occasion. You set an example of what it looks like to be a woman of endurance, love, discipline, kindness, and power.
And in the midst of postpartum pain, sleepless nights, and overstimulating days, there’s this overwhelming joy— an unlimited love for someone you just met, even though you spent months wondering what they’d look like, who they’d be, and whether you were worthy enough to be the mother of such a beautiful soul.
Becoming a mother makes you realize that nothing could have fully prepared you for this responsibility. But you rise anyway. You put your trust in God, let Him quiet your worries, and learn to relish every single moment with your baby.
Only time will tell the story you’re writing, but in the meantime, know that you’re going to do great because God chose you to be the mommy to your baby.
