@aminoloco bested the pack despite the postponement at the recently concluded T100 Triathlon Singapore!
A 2nd Overall (Swim+Bike Split) finish makes him top of the Age Group and Filipino delegation!
He will be keeping up this momentum in this upcoming weekend at Subic Bay for SuBIT!
Congrats Coach Mervin! From your @sante_athletica family!

T100 Singapore 🇸🇬
2nd Overall | 1st Place (30–34) | Fastest Bike Split 🙏🏽🇵🇭
Tough course out there. The swim in Marina Bay had heavy water conditions, but it was still beautiful. The bike course was a rolling circuit, and the run was extremely hot and humid.
I was leading the race with 4 km left on the run when the organizers suspended the race due to a thunderstorm alert. That’s why the run times were removed from the official results.
Still, I’m very thankful for everyone who supported me throughout the race—especially the Filipino spectators and friends.
Congrats to everyone who raced! 😊🙏🏽

Some athletes grow into the sport. Others grow with it.
@aminoloco is one of those athletes.
Racing in the Male 30–34 category, Mervin Santiago has long been a steady presence in the Philippine triathlon scene. As one of the first-generation members of the Santé Barley Tri Team, he has been part of its journey early on, building his career alongside the team and continuing to represent that foundation today.
Over the years, he has established himself as one of the most reliable performers in long distance racing, consistently showing up against strong fields and finding his way onto the podium.
That presence continues into 2026.
This first quarter, Mervin Santiago delivered a standout performance at Ironman 70.3 Davao, finishing 2nd Overall in one of the most competitive races on the local calendar.
Alongside that, he continued to stack results across races:
• 5150 Triathlon Guimaras — 5th Overall • Challenge Sir Bani Yas Triathlon — 3rd AG
It is the kind of quarter that reflects both experience and sustained performance. Not just the ability to compete, but the ability to remain at the front over time.
This Quarter 1, we recognize Mervin Santiago for his continued presence at the top end of the sport, and for carrying that standard year after year.
Mervin, this is what it looks like to stay among the best for a long time.
